The Obamacare enrollment period’s first deadline was on December 15, 2015.

The holiday season is here and we at eHealth understand that signing up for health insurance isn’t always the first thing on your to-do lists.

To help remind those who may have forgotten about the first important deadline, eHealth displayed creative ads on Yahoo!’s homepage and sign in page that emphasized the deadline for 24 hours on December 15.

Some of the creative’s included Santa, and one accentuated the idea of shopping with a child sitting in a shopping cart.

Don’t forget! The nationwide Obamacare open enrollment period is scheduled to continue through January 31, 2016, but before the big deadline comes there are some other deadlines you should know about.

December 15 was supposed to be the deadline to enroll for anyone that wanted coverage under a new health insurance plan to begin on January 1.

If you missed December 15, however, here’s the good news: You may still have a chance to enroll in January 1 coverage!

The next important deadline is January 15 for anyone that wants coverage to begin on February 1.
